Also known by his family and friends as Ken, Rock, Neal and Big’n, Ken passed on May 1, 2015 at the age of 74 in Spokane, WA with his family by his side. Ken was born August 24, 1940 in Steele, MO to Willy and Martha Neal and grew up in Weed Patch, CA. near Bakersfield, CA. He served in the United States Air Force as a Firefighter including an instructor at Chanute AFB, retiring in 1977 after 20 years of service. He then retired in 1998 after 20 years of civil service at FAFB as a Captain in the Fire Department. While he worked as a civil service firefighter and after he also taught First Aid and CPR for the Red Cross for 15 years, he worked at Circuit City for 10 years and then met valued friends while working at the Northern Quest Casino for the past 9 years. When he wasn’t watching NASCAR he enjoyed cruising in his 2006 SS Impala usually to the Golden Corral – his favorite place to eat and meet up with friends. Ken is survived by his son Jason, grandson Ethan and sisters Joann and Peggy. He was preceded in death by his wife Claudia of 50 years and his parents Willy and Martha.
