Died August 19, 1942

Woodrow Clair Bain Jr., known as Woody to his friends and Sandy to his family, died at home after a long battle with lung cancer. He left behind the love of his life, Lynn, four sons: lance, Kipp, Darin and Billy, eight grandchildren and one great-grandson, all of whom he loved dearly. He was a cherished friend, an admired teacher, a master fisherman and hunter, and could repair anything. He was a staunch protector of those less fortunate and would not tolerate anyone who bullied. Sandy was kind, gentle, and caring, and helped all who needed a hand. Everyone who knew him will miss him terribly, and know that he’s out there, somewhere, hooking the biggest steelhead of his life.
