William James Bajadali

November 29, 1944 - May 25, 2018

William J. Bajadali (Bill/Bajie) was born to Celestino and Sophie Bajadali in 1944 in Hawaii. Upon graduation he proudly enlisted in the US Army and served in Vietnam. Bill made his career in the heavy equipment industry and loved his work but was passionate about those he worked with. He retired in January of 2018 due to his health. He went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2018. - Traveling to 6 continents, Bill made enduring friends along the way. Cars, boating, movies, and electronics intrigued him and forged more friendships. In his 40’s he became interested in body building and power lifting winning the Eastern Washington Masters’ Championship at age 50 following a triple bypass. Christmas was a love and decorating for it made his home memorable. He pursued photography, oil painting, DIY home projects, wood working, and furniture making. And, whatever he did was done well. - A patriot to his core, he was a Lilac Festival director for many years and he proudly served as an Honorary Commander to Fairchild AFB. Less formally he was a good neighbor and friend, championing a do unto others spirit. - Above all, Bajie loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Shelly Triber Bajadali; son Tony (Courtney), grandsons Vinny and Max; step sons Bailen Brown and Zack Brown; step sister, Shawn Triber; sister LaVerne (Jerry) Clement, brothers Wayne (Babs) Bajadali, and Craig Bajadali, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His dear friend Bob (Bo) Tallan is like a brother. Jay and Sue Cronk and their children Brandon (Melanie) Cronk and Tyler (Katelyn) Cronk are also cherished as family. - Bill’s final months were made possible by an excellent team of health care providers led by Dr. Andrew Coletti. We are eternally grateful to them for their compassionate dedication to supporting a good quality of life for him considering all facets of his being. - Bajie stored his life treasure in the hearts of others which was reflected by the numerous visitors he enjoyed in his final months, some traveling from other parts of the world. Thank you for the love you have shown. A service at the Washington Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Rd, Medical Lake will be held at 2:15pm on June 7 followed by a Celebration of Life at Darcy’s Restaurant, 10502 E. Sprague, 4pm June 7. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Heart Association.
