Best, William “Bill” (Papa) 9/28/2026

Bill was born November 11, 1953, and raised in Spokane, WA where he spent his entire life.

He graduated from North Central High School in 1972 and from S.C.C. with his Electronics Technician degree.

Bill loved camping, fishing, hiking, music and working on projects. He was a self-taught repair man and there was very little he couldn’t figure out how to make or fix. He was always available to help kids, grandkids and others to do a project or fix something. Most of all, pass on his knowledge to those who needed help.

Despite living with chronic pain and several illnesses it never stopped him from always being there is someone needed something. Through it all he always maintained his sense of humor.

Bill loved his family. He touched so many other lives in how he lived. He will be so deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cindy; his daughters Carmen (Richie) Fischer and Melissa (Scott) Buck; grandchildren Oresto (Brittany) Best, Nyla Fischer, Aleena Fischer, Bree Fischer, Aiden (Bailey) Buck, and his great granddaughter Brynn Best; sister Sue Hadway and brother Jack Best; Father Everett Best; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother CeBe(Clarabelle) Best and nephew Matt Best.

There will be no service at his request. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Spokane Humane Society in his name.
