Wes Griffin, age 52, passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2026, due to medical complications.
Â
He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Allison Griffin, and his cherished children, Erik and Annie Borg. He is also survived by his mother, Karla Griffin; his sisters, Holly Griffin and Shannon Griffin Pope; his chosen brothers, Rob and Dave Lewis; and numerous extended family members and dear friends whose lives he touched deeply.

Wes was preceded in death by his father, Shane Griffin; his grandparents; and his close friend, Sarah Lewis.

A 1992 graduate of University High School, Wes went on to build a dedicated 30-year career with BNSF as a conductor. His railroad family was an integral and meaningful part of his life, and he took great pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way.

Wes was truly one of a kind. He had a passion for golf, enjoyed watching football, and never passed up an opportunity to sing karaoke. Above all else, he treasured time spent with his wife and children, who were the center of his world.

He passed after asking to rest while watching The Masters—a quiet moment that reflected his love for life’s simple joys.

Wes never met a stranger, and his warmth, kindness, and genuine love for others were immeasurable. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, friendship, and unwavering love. He will be deeply missed beyond words and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Wes’s life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on May 2nd at The Social, 6412 East Trent, Spokane Valley. All who knew and loved Wes are invited to come together in his honor to share stories and memories.
