GREEN (BROYLES), Vera (Age 98) Our beloved mother passed away February 25, 2014 in Spokane, WA. She was born June 13, 1915 in Sunset, WA to Robert Lee and Sallie Morrell Broyles. She was the last survivor of 10 siblings. Vera graduated from Oakesdale High School in 1933 and moved to Spokane where she worked as a waitress for the Davenport Hotel for many years. She married Philip B. Green in 1940 and they had five children. She was devoted to her family and was an avid reader and sports fan. She was thrilled to live long enough to see the Seahawks win the Super Bowl stated ""None of us would live long enough to see the Mariners win a World Series!"" Vera is survived by her son, Philip B. Green Jr. (Leslie); daughters Aril Y. Baldwin, Cheryl K. Perkins (Don), Janice R. Wigen (Ron), Kathryn L. Hoffmann (Jim); 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. The family sincerely thanks the staff of Hospice of Spokane for their compassionate support which allowed our mother to pass away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. A graveside service was held at the Spokane Memorial Gardens.
