O'BRIEN, Troy F. Koziuk (Age 45) God took our special angel and gave him his real wings on November 15th. There is no way to count the hundreds of lives Troy has touched during his life. And now his new life has begun-made whole and pain free. At age 2 �½ and their personal commitment and cost, his parents took him to Philadelphia to the Institutes for Achievement of Human Potential (Doman/Delacatto method of ""patterning"") for brain-injured persons. Week long training sessions three to four times per year there, and then home to train the 120 volunteers per week needed per the 7-8 hours per day program, 7 days a week. This continued for 5 �½ years. He loved it-especially the people. Family took over during the summers at Loon Lake, in between his also enjoying boating, swimming, and all the family fun. Aspiration pneumonia developed at 19 �½ and chronic respiratory problems became increasingly severe towards the end of his life. Troy was fortunate to later live in a beautiful new home built by Inland Empire Residential Resources (IERR) sharing with three ""roomies"" and provided with 24/7 care provided by S.L. Start & Assoc. He loved them as family and how blessed we were for them. You are all our Angels. Also, thanks to Dr. Dan Coulston and staff for their care. By living in the community he enjoyed so many outings-star concerts, hockey and baseball games, ice shows, Silverwood, boat cruises, fairs, Fairchild in a helicopter and many more adventures. He will be remembered for the love he shared through his beautiful, alert bright blue eyes and his happy smile and greetings to everyone. We thank God for his love and we bless all of you who shared in his journey to make his life so completely happy and fulfilled. No way can we thank each by name, but you know who you are. Troy was preceded in death by his father, Raymond J. Koziuk (who he tragically lost at age 8), his step-father Richard W. O'Brien, uncle Al Koziuk, and grandparents. Surviving are his mother, Judith L. O'Brien, Loon Lake/Spokane, sister Lori Anderson (Steve), Lafayette, CA, brother Kory O'Brien (Heidi), Scottsdale, AZ, step-sister Erin Ball (Jim), Maple Valley, and step-brother Michael O'Brien (Tracy), Sammamish. And his special big brother and best buddy Brent O'Brien, Spokane, whom he adored. Also are nieces and nephews, Kari, Krista, Craig Anderson and Colton O'Brien plus aunts, Edie Wattenburger (Duane), Pasco, Vicki Brugger (Dave), Elk, Fran Nord Williams (Don), Spokane, Margie Borgert (Bill), Edmonds, Annie Mortensen (Keith), Anchorage, Elizabeth Thayer (Jack), Clayton, Margie Reno (John), Bartonville, TX, Judy Lorvick, Sun City West, AZ, and many cousins.
