It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tristan Michael Francis, who left this world far too soon on April 14, 2025, at the age of 21. Born on March 1, 2004, Tristan brought joy, light, and laughter to everyone who knew him.
Tristan was a bright spirit whose warmth and kindness could be felt the moment he walked into a room. Known for his ever-present smile and his ability to uplift others, he had a heart full of compassion and a soul full of life.
A proud graduate of Medical Lake High School, Tristan was a talented athlete who lettered in both football and tennis. His passion for sports extended beyond his own participation—he also served as an assistant coach for the tennis team, sharing his knowledge and love for the game with younger players.
Tristan cherished the moments spent with his family and friends, especially vacations to Hawaii and Ocean Shores, and countless summer days spent at Deer Lake and Lake St. James, where laughter, games, and memories were abundant. He found true joy in playing cards, board games, and chess, always ready for some friendly competition and quality time with those he loved.
He had a deep bond with his siblings, Alanna, Alex, Jaxxon and Summer, and treasured the time spent with them. Whether it was a simple visit or an adventure together, being with family was always at the heart of who Tristan was.
Though his time with us was heartbreakingly short, Tristan’s impact was immeasurable. He touched lives with his humor, his kindness, and his unwavering positivity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were lucky enough to know him.
A celebration of Tristan’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor the beautiful soul he was and the joy he brought to so many.
Tristan is survived by his mother, Jodi Francis, sister Alanna, stepfather Kevin Williams and step-brother Noah Williams from Medical Lake, WA; his father Geoff Francis, stepmother Laura, brothers Alex and Jaxxson, and sister Summer of Clarksburg, WV; grandparents Claudine and Joe Conner of Medical Lake, WA; grandparents Leo and Sharyn Francis of Prudenville, MI; and his aunt and uncle Jessica and Jeff Magnuson and their son Owen of Deer Lake, WA. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Lance Muelken of Deer Lake, WA and his paternal grandmother Bobbie Krueger of Alamogordo, NM.

The obituary perfectly depicts the Tristan I knew when I had him in 6th grade classes and watched him interact with the other students. He definitely was a light in the room and a friend to all it seemed. So very sorry for everyone's loss.
Tristan I am so heartbroken that you have left us, but I hope you are now at peace ❤️You will forever be in my heart. This world will never be the same without you in it.
