Thomas Loren Moffat

October 27, 1968 - September 22, 2022

We sorrowfully announce the passing of Thomas Loren Moffat (53), born October 27th, 1968, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane and passed away September 22nd, 2022, at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Colville, WA. Tom is the son of Patricia Harrison (Olsen) and Dale Moffat, both of Spokane. A graduate of West Valley High School (87), Tom spent 30 years working for BNSF railroad. However, his true passion was hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, and camping throughout WA, ID, MT, WY, and Canada. He had a great love of sports and played both baseball and football for WV, as well as playing baseball for an American Legion club, and recreational hockey. Tom is survived by his parents Patty, Dale and stepmother Vicki, daughters Lauren, Samantha and Amanda, former wife Angela, sister Julie, nieces Reagan and Faith, Aunts Diana, Vicki, and Carol, Uncles Tab and Dave, long-time friend and “2nd mom” Paula, “brother” David, “sister-in-law” Paula, “nephews” Randall and Thaeden, “sister” Cory, “brother-in-law” Anthony, step-sisters Julie and Tia, and many cousins. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 15th at 2 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Spokane. Due to Tom’s love of dogs, we ask that memorial contributions be made in Tom’s name to Spokanimal, Companions Animal Shelter (Kootenai), or any favorite no-kill animal shelter
