January 12, 1952 - March 01, 2023
ARNESEN, THOMAS J (71) After a long illness, on March 1, 2023, Tom Arnesen passed away at home with his loved ones by his side. He was born in Chicago, IL in 1952. His siblings are Laurentine (Chicago) and James (deceased). In high school he started doing security work for the Andy Frain Co and came to Spokane to help set up security for Expo 74. He had planned to go back to Chicago, but chose to stay in Spokane starting his own business (TAP) providing services and equipment for rock concerts. He later worked for the City of Spokane Entertainment Facilities as an Event Supervisor/Sound Technician. For 19 years he was involved with Neighbor Days as a contractor and later as a Board Member. He was a member of IATSE Local 93 for over 30 years. His passions were: spending time with his best buddy, Adam; hanging out at Williams Lake; and decorating for Christmas - the more lights the better (but only inside the house!). He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sue; Adam; sister, Laurentine; sister-in-law, Kathy; nephew; nieces; and many friends. I would like to thank Kathy, Adam, Tana, Andy, Tutti, and Julie for all of your assistance during this time. He was a strong, loyal, gentle, generous, and extremely capable man with a caring soul and a sense of humor. He will truly be missed by many. I would also like to thank the Hospice of Spokane for their assistance which allowed him to stay home. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Spokane. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
