Shirley Jane LeWellen

November 13, 1935 - January 02, 2014

November 13, 1935 - January 2, 2014 Shirley Lewellen born in Chehalis WA succumbed to her nearly 3 year battle with cancer on January 2, 2014. Shirley was a resident of Spokane for 38 years. She enjoyed the active outdoor lifestyle Spokane offers, cross country skiing, mountain bike riding and she was an avid golfer. Shirley ran her first Bloomsday Marathon at the age of 52. Up until the last 6 months of her life you could find Shirley at the North Spokane Fitness Club most mornings. Shirley retired from Whitworth University in 2003. Shirley is survived by her 4 children Dennis Lewellen of Spokane WA, Craig Lewellen of Portland OR, Karen Lewellen of Los Angeles CA and Steve Lewellen of Medical Lake WA. Shirley has 7 grandchildren and 6 surviving siblings
