Shauna Renee White Hodgson, age 59, went home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2026. She was born April 6, 1966, in Missoula, Montana. In 1969, she moved with her family to Spokane, Washington, where she spent most of her life.
Shauna graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1984 and later graduated from Eastern Washington University. Throughout her life she worked in several places throughout Spokane, including Frankie Doodle’s Restaurant, The Waterford Retirement Community, and the Ruby River Hotel.
Shauna had a creative and joyful spirit. She was passionate about music and loved dancing, writing poetry, and spending time coloring—simple things that brought her peace and happiness. Above all, she loved her family deeply, especially her son Caleb, who was the greatest joy of her life.
She was preceded in death by her father, David White, and her husband, Robert “Mike” Hodgson.
Shauna is survived by her beloved son, Caleb Hodgson; her mother, Nancy Fay, and stepfather, Dan Fay; her brothers, David White and Darren White; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many extended family members and friends who loved her.
Shauna will be remembered for her creative heart, her love for her family, and the many memories she leaves behind. While her absence is deeply felt, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace and in the presence of the Lord she loved.
A memorial service will be held on April 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Spokane, 511 W Hastings Rd, Spokane, WA 99218. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life and the memories she shared with those who loved her.
