Sandra Marie Grape

August 16, 1940 - September 22, 2021

Sandra Marie Grape (Wolfe) Sandy was born August 16, 1940, in Iowa City, IA, to Darrell Eugene Wolfe (WWII POW and decorated Veteran) and mother Dorothy Marie Stifle-Bruce. Sandy went to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her family on September 22, 2021 in Deer Park, Wa. Sandy was loved by everyone that knew her. She worked for the Good Samaritan Society in Fairfield, WA and earlier in Iowa for well over 25 years, where she was a Certified Nurses Aide / Physical Therapy Aide. She loved helping people. She retired in 2011, to be home with her husband and son. She loved time with family, a good western and a friendly game of Spades. She enjoyed trips to see historic monuments and the time she spent visiting her family back in Iowa each summer. She loved to go fishing with her husband,Gary. Sandy'gifts also included making quilts, crocheting and cross stitching, in which she blessed her family with many loving baby blankets, quilts, and cross stitched keepsakes. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gary Grape ( 9-22-2011), son Dennis Martinsen and daughter-in-law, Laurie Threlkeld. She is survived by sons, Joseph Clayton Sr - Spokane, Rick (Jenni) Martinsen – Deer Park, Robin E (Jill) Clayton – Spokane Valley. Her brothers, Gary and Bob Bruce both of Red Oak, IA, along with her sister, Linda Bruce and partner Larry – Oklahoma City, OK. Sandy leaves behind, grandchildren Chris (Felicia) Threlkeld, Joseph (Crystal) Clayton, Samuel Clayton, Josh (Rachel) Clayton, Adam (Tawni) Martinsen, Joshua (Amanda) Keeton and Kristoffer Martinsen, Joseph (Summer) Martinsen, Jerrid (Alicia) Jeske Jedidiah and Zachary Martinsen. Amanda Peterson (David Harding) and 20 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by everyone. We love you Mom, Gramma and Great Gramma. In lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution to Sandra's funeral expenses with Pacific Northwest Cremation at 509-483-3440
