Roscoe Darrell Moore

November 12, 1926 - September 18, 2016

Born in Colville, WA to Roscoe Richard and Elsie Mae Moore an only child. He attended Rogers HS and later acquired his GED. He served in the US Army in 1945 and was Honorably discharged 12/12/1946. He then worked for Browne's Trailers. He met his long time bride to be prior to joining the Army and married Elsie Margaret Kiefel on 06/05/1948. He worked for his father-in-law Joe Kiefel at Kiefel & Sons Construction, building homes throughout Spokane, a cabin at Priest Lake and later at Loon Lake. He loved to hunt, fish and take the family camping frequently. He was employed at Washington Water Power in 1956 and retired 32 years later in 1988. He and Elsie spent many years traveling and were snow birds in Yuma, AZ. He always said he lived a good life and even if he won a million bucks he wouldn't do it any differently. They celebrated 68 years of marriage. Survived by his wife Elsie Margaret, son Stephen (Carolyn) Moore, daughters Judi (Ron) Robertson, Patty (John) Peter, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. The family would like to extend our deepest thanks to Hospice, especially Nurse Karen and all the wonderful nurses and staff at Riverview Center for their care and concern. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice or Cancer Care. Memorial service at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N Government Way on October 1st at 1:00 p.m.
