Ronald "Ron" Marvin

July 30, 1956 - September 22, 2024

Ronald “Ron” Marvin passed away on September 22, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, 14 children including spouses, 24 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

He was always looking for ways to make you laugh, he would find silly ways to play pranks, making sure that he would get the grandkids involved in pranking their parents, and had many fun stories to tell.

Ron grew up in Spokane Valley, WA from the time he was 10, he graduated from U-High High school, and shortly after joined the Marine Corps.

He was very proud to be a Marine and loved to be part of the team to collect toys, for the Toys for Tots during the holidays. He had many stories of the shenanigans that he and his buddies would get into while in bootcamp, school, and while on his drills.

Ron drove truck hauling gasoline for 50 years, and while it was hard work, he enjoyed it, and made many friends through those years.

He loved to spend time with his family, going on many camping trips, gardening, and maintaining his home with his wife, playing games, talking with loved ones, and watching reruns of his favorite TV shows.

It was also often you would find him just sitting outside by his fire pit just thinking.

He loved being a father, and Papa. He was so proud of all of his kids, even though it was a blended family he loved all of his kids. He loved being “Papa”, and would take every opportunity to spend time with all of his grandkids.

You will remain forever in our hearts and memories, and you will be dearly missed. We love you, husband, Dad, Papa, brother, and friend.

There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony on Saturday, Oct 19, 2024 at 4 pm. At the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 14111 E 16th Ave, Spokane Valley, WA

Rest in peace.
