Robert P. Melville

February 14, 1931 - November 13, 2016

Robert Paul Melville entered into his eternal rest on November 13, 2016. He was born on February 14, 1931 to Paul Everett Townsend Melville and Anna Viola Miller Melville on the family cattle ranch in Valley, Stevens County, Washington. He stayed on the ranch to work it with his father when his brothers went off to serve their country. - On November 24, 1951 he married Vera Marie Trautman. He continued to work the ranch while driving school bus. Later he went to work for his brother Everett at Melbran Distributing selling industrial supplies in 1964 throughout Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho. In 1973 they sold the ranch moving to Spokane. When he retired from Melbran, he worked several part-time jobs including sales for Spokane Industrial Supply until March of 2015. - Bob and Vera were longtime members of The Rock of Ages Christian Fellowship, now known as Sozo Church. After the loss of his drivers license, he attend church with his son and daughter-in-law at Valley Assembly in the Spokane Valley. - Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vera, brothers and sisters-in-law, Everett and Connie Melville, Jerry and Peg Melville, John and Jeannie Melville. He is survived by brother Johns second wife Virginia Melville, Son and wife Daniel and Mary (Greely) Melville, grandsons Spencer and Nathaniel and many nieces and nephews. He and his smile will be greatly missed. A Memorial celebrating his life will be held on December 17th 2016, 10:30 am at Valley Assembly of God, on Broadway and Sullivan Roads in Spokane Valley, Washington.
