Robert James Marikle

July 17, 1934 - August 16, 2017

Bob was born in Escondido, California and died in Spokane, Washington, where he was surrounded by his daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob and his wife, Ruth moved to Spokane in 1993 to live close to family. He graduated from Escondido Union High School and San Diego State University with a bachelors degree in Marketing. After finishing his schooling, he had a 37-year career in the retail business all in the San Diego area. Bob was drafted into the Army and served from 1954-1956 in the Army of Occupation in Germany. Bob and Ruth attended and were members of Fourth Memorial Church. Bob was also a member of American Legion Post 0009 (Spokane). Bob was preceded in death by his wonderful wife, Ruth; his mother, father and brother. He is survived by his dear daughter, Deborah (Debi) (Steve) Pauletto, four grandchildren, Chris/Angi, Jared/Cindy, Ginni/Will, Brayden/Janine; and eight great grandchildren, Kayleen, Abbie, Joshua, Kendyl, Micah, Gabriel, Victoria, and Annabella. A Celebration of Life Service is being held at Fourth Memorial Church, 2000 N Standard Ave. on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers please send memorial donations to Union Gospel Mission at 1224 E Trent Ave., Spokane, WA 99202.
