Robert (Bob) Clint Tomyn, 82, of Spokane, WA, passed away peacefully on February 16th, 2026, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Vera Marie Tomyn, his children, Tracy (Melissa) Tomyn, Robert (Tina) Tomyn, Christy Grotewold, Russ (Maggie) Grotewold, grandchildren, Jacob Tomyn, Kyle Tomyn, Sierra Grotewold, David Grotewold, and Kellen Tomyn, his grandbird Annabelle, horses Alrek and Viggo, dogs Millie, Penny, and Kita, cat Zoey, and numerous other rescue animals. He loved
his family and friends, old cars, and had a soft spot in his heart for all animals. He will be missed terribly by his family and friends.Â
Bob was born in Spokane, WA, on June 15th,1943, to Clinton and June Tomyn. He graduated from Waterville High School in 1961. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1968. Bob attended the University of Puget Sound, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree, being the first in his family to graduate from college. He then went on to work for the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) and then Boeing, where he earned multiple awards as a manager. In his well-earned retirement, Bob enjoyed cruising in his rebuilt 1938 Buick and his 2005 Corvette with his car clubs, having fun with his grandkids at Silverwood, working on various projects in his shop, and training his beautiful Fjord horses.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and June, and brother Ron. Bob will be laid to rest at Washington State Veterans Cemetery at Medical Lake on March 6th, 2026.
