On September 15, 2023 Richard Alexander Henning, aged 40, passed away after suffering a tragic accident in Spokane Washington. Rich was born in Augsburg, Germany and spent the majority of his life in Washington state, mostly in Spokane. Bright, warm, fun-loving and empathetic, Rich loved his sons, Corbin and Ashton, played guitar, loved being in nature and believed in God. In spite of being consumed by mental illness as an adult, Rich was a sort-of knight in armor, always looking to protect us and keep us safe eliminating the evil-doers, even though it may not have been reality. Rich is survived by his mother Theresa Henning of Spokane WA, his sons Corbin Henning and Ashton Henning of Deer Park Washington, sisters Charlotte Henning of Seattle Washington, Elizabeth Henning of Spokane Washington, Philana Parnell of Spokane Washington, and several nieces and nephews whom he held dear. We will miss his goofy laugh and his massively warm hugs, but we also take comfort in the fact that Richard's struggles are over, and he is at peace in Heaven.
