Phyllis was welcomed by death after a long goodbye of Alzheimer’s. She was born in upstate New York, graduated from Alfred University, and later did graduate work at Clairmont Seminary. She married Robert Morton, birthed Bettina (Kim Jordan), Loren (deceased), Roxanne (Doug Eslick), and Shawn (Greta) Morton. Divorce happens. She then married Homer Todd, they put their families together, adding (Teresa (Kevin Smith) and Mark (Janet) Todd. Phyllis worked for JC Penny Co. before being appointed as Local Pastor at Port Townsend United Methodist Church, and later to Trinity UMC in Spokane. Phyllis was a dedicated Rotarian and also served Spokane in Emergency Preparedness and Volunteer Organizations Assisting in disasters through the United Methodist Committee on Relief for several years. Phyllis had 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grands. She was a terrific and loving person, wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother, and pastor. She will be forever loved and missed. Services will be on Thursday, July 29 at 2:00 PM at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 316 E 24th Ave, Spokane.
