Percy Allen Stone (62) of Spokane Valley, WA and Ephrata, WA, passed away on October 26, 2018. Percy was born in Ephrata, WA on May 20, 1956. “Perk” attended Ephrata High School and graduated from Payette High School. Percy served in Vietnam, became a firefighter, retired from the United States Postal Service, and spent time as a flagger with Grant Co. PUD. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion, and Department Color Guard of Ephrata. He loved his family, fishing, woodworking, yard saling, and he was always encouraging. Percy is serviced by brothers Richard, Charles, Gilferd, Michael and sister Nancy, his wife of 43 years, Lorraine Stone, Kristina Stone (daughter), Shawn Stone (don), Alise, Issabella, Joe Joe, and Kye Allen (grandchildren) as well as Jasmine and Gregory Jr. (great-grandchildren). A celebration of his life will be held on: November 17, 2018 11 A.M.-2: P.M. at the American Legion Post #28 276 8th Ave NW Ephrata, WA 98823 We will be donating a portion of all gifts to the Legion, as well as the Hospice House of Spokane. THIS SOLDIER You can wear this soldier’s boots but don’t tread his path too lightly. His love for family, friends, and country Never wavered. Even Slightly If this soldiers’ boots could talk they’d say “his path was steep.” And though with laces frayed These promises he’d keep Love his Family, To his friends be always true, And never-ever faltered Under the Red, White, and Blue.
