Patricia Sather passed away at the age of 84. With her family by her side, she left this earth and entered heaven on September 3, 2025. Patricia was born January 24,1941 to Oliver and Frieda Mellor in Puyallup, Washington. She graduated from Puyallup High School with Salutatorian honors. She attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, Emanuel School of Nursing in Portland, Oregon where she earned her bachelor's degree in nursing and became a registered nurse. Then on to the University of Washington, earning her master’s degree and became a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner.

Pat met her true love, DeMar, and were married February 14,1964 in Puyallup, Washington. The two of them moved to Seattle, Washington and raised their three children Mark, Scott and Ann on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle.

Pat’s first job was as an RN in Pediatrics at Seattle Children's Hospital. She continued in her nursing career as an ARNP in several long- term care homes in the Seattle area. After retirement, DeMar and Pat moved to Tucson, Arizona for 13 years, then back to the Pacific Northwest and settled on Bainbridge Island in 2013. After the loss of her husband of 60 years, Pat moved to Spokane Valley to live close to her daughter Ann.

The Lutheran Church was a big part of Pat's life. Her faith in God spoke volumes as to her kind and compassionate character.

Throughout her life, Pat enjoyed being a devoted and loving mother to her children, world travels with her husband, baking award-winning pies, walks in nature, gardening, reading, quilting, playing piano, singing in choirs, Huskies and Seahawks football. To all who knew Pat she was a beautiful, generous, kind, compassionate and loving soul. She devoted her life to the care of others. Pat had the brightest smile that would light up any room.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Frieda Mellor; her son Mark Sather; her husband DeMar Sather; and her sister Karen Lyon. She is survived by her son Scott Sather of Tucson, Arizona, her daughter Ann Sutter (Scott) of Spokane Valley, Washington, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
