Patricia "Patty" Scott

Patty Scott was born on March 17,1954 in Rigby, Idaho to Ken & Edna Scott. She loved life with her three siblings on the family's small ranch and was the self-appointed vet/guardian angel of all the farm kittens. She graduated from the University of Idaho with a B.Sci. in Home Economics. Her favorite job prior to her marriage was as a counselor at Alpine 4-H Camp.

Patty married Charlie Scott in 1975 and the couple raised two children together. She was a devoted follower of the Lord Jesus—befriending the outcasts, and selflessly serving the Body of Christ wherever she resided. Patty loved the music of the Church and often led the congregation in worship from the piano wherever Charlie served as pastor. Her favorite recreation was to gather with family and friends to eat, play games, and tell stories to make us laugh.

Patty passed away on August, 6, 2026 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, her son, Matthew, his wife Julia, and their children Sadie, Lucas, and Clara. And by her daughter, Sarabeth, her husband Joel, and their children Avalon and Brandon. Each one was fiercely loved by her, and our sense of loss is profound.

Our family offers our praise and thanks to our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, for creating Patty, for freely providing her with salvation from the penalty and power of sin, for blessing and sustaining her in this world, and for taking her home to be with him and share in His joy forever. Amen.

What I'll always remember most about Patty is her warm, joyful, and engaging smile. She was always smiling and always ready with a quick laugh.
