Patricia Lorenz born in Redlands, California, on November 22, 1941, passed on June 10, 2026, at Orchard Crest Retirement Home in the Spokane Valley, Washington
She was survived by two children Robin Harken and Todd Verhei; five grandchildren Bryan Verhei, Samantha Verhei, Aaron Verhei, Pierce Harken and Elaine Harken; one great grandchild to be born in August, 2026 and Mama Kitty who has been adopted by her son Todd.
Patricia was a farm girl from Idaho who married the love of her life and high school sweetheart Donald Verhei. They enjoyed 38 years of marital bliss until she lost him to MS.
Patricia was fortunate enough to find love a second time when she met Louis Lorenz. They married February 4, 2002, and were happily married for 20 years blending two separate families to one.
Patricia took the ups and downs of life in stride. She was a compassionate and loving person, a devoted wife and mother. Every day was met with a positive attitude and a challenge to make things better. She always worried more about others than herself.
Her life story was varied. She went from a farm girl milking the cows, churning the butter and canning the veggies from the garden to living in The Dalles, Oregon, Grand Coulee and finally settling in Deer Park. Through her life she worked as a nurse’s aide, owned a yarn shop, taught knitting, embroidery and quilting and managed rental properties.
The many quilts she has made through the years and given to friends and family will always be cherished memories of a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
She will be remembered by her family and the marks she made on the world will be known through her children and grandchildren.
