Patricia June Jackson

We celebrate and honor the life of Patricia June Jackson. Born on December 14th, 1942, in Seattle Washington to her father Henry Ross, and mother, Beatrice Beach-Ross. Patricia (Patty) attended Roosevelt High School, graduating in 1959. After high school Patty worked for a shipping company on the Seattle waterfront until she took a new role with General Motors Acceptance Corporation in 1964. In 1965, she went bowling on a blind date where she met Edwin (Ed) Jackson. The two hit it off and started dating. On Valentine's Day in 1966, Ed proposed by carefully opening a heart shaped box of chocolates and placing a ring in the center. He carefully packaged it back up and surprised Patty - she said, YES. On June 4, 1966, Ed and Patty married.

Patty and Ed shared 58 wonderful years together. Their partnership was a testament to the power of love and commitment. She leaves behind a son, Troy (Kelli) Jackson, a daughter, Melody (Rob) Borgman, six grandchildren, Ben, David, Rebecca, Whitney, Cody, and Grace as well as, six great-grandchildren, Boone, Kinsley, Hadley, Jaxson, Nova, and Evelyn, each of whom carries a piece of her heart and legacy.

With a wit as sharp as her heart was kind, Patty could effortlessly bring smiles to those around her. Her wit was always on point as she had a unique ability to bring laughter into any situation, turning ordinary moments into treasured memories. She possessed a deep, enduring love for her family, always putting their well-being and happiness above all else.

Patty's warmth and kindness knew no bounds. She made the world a better place simply by being in it.

Patty also had a charming affection for strawberries, which was evident in her home adorned with strawberry décor, even down to a carpeted strawberry kitchen with matching strawberry drapes dawning the kitchen windows. It was a whimsical reminder of her vibrant and sweet nature.

As a stay home mother, and after her children became school age, Patty stayed busy by building a business with Avon where she made many many friends and was affectionately known by everyone as “The Avon Lady”! Patty was committed to her customers and over the years, she delivered Avon via car, bicycle, snowmobile, on foot, and by quad.

One of the most intriguing chapters of her life was her decade off the grid on the family farm near Mount Spokane. There, she embraced a life close to nature, raising cows and delighting in naming them after her daughter’s high school friends—a playful testament to her sense of humor and creativity. On the family farm, Patty enjoyed riding her bicycle, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and most of all her 4-wheeler. Here, she developed a fondness for dogs, big dogs; Great White Pyrenees to be exact. Raising 8 of these gentle giants over the years.

Patty’s presence was a gift to us all, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. As we say our farewells, let us celebrate her life, cherish the moments we shared with her, and strive to embody the kindness and love that she so generously gave to the world.

Rest in peace, mom. ❤️ You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
