Olivia “Danny” Lavonne Wojtowicz (they/them) was born September 14, 2010, in Spokane, Washington. They left this world on April 2, 2026, also in Spokane - the place where they lived their entire beautiful, too‑short life. At just fifteen years old, Danny changed their family and friends in ways that will be felt forever.
Danny was a naturally gifted artist, and loved to draw with pencil, pen, and digitally. Their art and life was filled with imagination and old soul wisdom far beyond their years. They loved gaming, playing guitar, and had a soulful connection to animals, especially horses, deer, and elk. There was something in their gentleness and strength that resonated with Danny.
Danny’s style was fearless - they could switch from punk to western, from mohawks and liberty spikes to a shaved head. Every look they chose was its own kind of art, an expression of who they were and how bravely they moved through the world.
Danny had an amazing sense of humor that came so easily, and their laughter was contagious - the kind that pulled everyone else along with it. They always enjoyed finding a way to make people laugh.
Danny cared deeply, loved generously, and gave freely. That giving spirit continued even at the end, when they became an organ donor - saving lives through one final act of kindness. Knowing that their compassion lives on in others brings comfort to everyone who loved them.
Danny was a straight-A student at North Central High School and proudly participated in the Native Student Union, where they built meaningful connections. They touched countless lives - friends, teachers, peers - each one carrying Danny’s light forward.
Danny is survived by their proud and loving parents, Chris and Ladonna; their sister Annika; grandmothers Judy and Cynthia; aunts Lavonne and Andrea; uncle Josh; cousins Abigail, Quinn, Kayla, Lian, and Jacob; their boyfriend, Ameer; their dog and three cats; and many friends whose lives were brightened by knowing them.
A private green burial and memorial will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane, Washington, where Danny’s life, spirit, and the love they shared will be honored.
Danny’s laughter, art, kindness, and love will remain with us forever. Their light continues.
