He attended school at Oakesdale, Deer Park and graduated from Mead High School in 1949.He had many jobs in his lifetime: school bus driver at Mead, farmed, real estate salesman at Sherwood and Roberts, owned his own business with his brother Gerald as a drag line operator, and worked at Darigold in Spokane for 42 years, working at every job at one time or another. For many years he cut and baled hay on several farms in Spokane and Stevens County. He belonged to the Teamster Union and was a past member of the Men’s Auxiliary in Deer Park. One of his pastimes was playing his assorted number of harmonicas and loved to square dance. Norvin knew no strangers. It was very important to him to make people laugh by telling all sorts of stories and he has a huge collection of funny sayings. Norvin is loved and will be missed by those who had the fortune to know him. The Celebration of Life will be June 14th (2 p.m.) at the Pinelow Camp at Deer Lake, Washington. Come and tell us your story about him.
