Nikki died on Monday, January 7, 2019, at Sacred Heart Medical Center due to septic shock and pneumonia. She was born in Great Falls, MT to Gary and Judie Thorn on March 26, 1973. She moved to Spokane in 1979 where she attended and graduated from Mead High School. - As a young woman she loved soccer and took care of children at Betty’s Daycare where she loved all the kids. She will be remembered as a caring, loving, and bright person by all that knew her. Everyone knew that Nikki loved her animals. Our family recommends memorial contributions be sent to a humane society in her name. - A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019, 2:00 PM, at New Horizons Community Church, on top of Five Mile, 3122 W Lincoln Rd, Spokane, WA. - Nikki left behind her parents; sister Lisa Skeesick (Thorn) and her family; children Chandy Thorn (21), Trevor Gariepy (16), and KayLee Gariepy (14); as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. - Nikki’s family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff at Sacred Heart Medical Center, especially those of the Adult ICU, and CICU. Your kindness and light in our darkness will forever be remembered and cherished.
