December 16, 1931 - September 12, 2016
Natalia Deborah Debbie Millspaugh entered into rest on September 12, 2016. Born December 16, 1931 in Navasota, Texas, Debbie was one of nine children. In 1955 she married Nels Millspaugh and followed him around the country and overseas proudly supporting him in his military career. While stationed in London, Debbie started a military wives program, which both supported the wives of military personnel and also fostered involvement in both the base and civilian communities. Over the years, eventually settling in Spokane, WA, Debbie and Nels had six children: Thomas (Danielle) Millspaugh, William (Chris) Millspaugh, Larry (Vicky) Millspaugh, Yvonne Millspaugh, Ramona Millspaugh, and Nathan (Jessica) Millspaugh. As a working mother she found her place working at Travos Restaurant in downtown Spokane where she touched many lives. Her career changed paths, taking her on the road where she would host bus trips all over Nevada. She loved this work, and it was a perfect fit for her, as she brought smiles to the faces of everyone she met. As she grew older, her children began to have children of their own, (19 grandchildren), and she decided to stay closer to home. She loved playing bingo out at the Worley Casino and helped start the program that would bring bus runs from Spokane to the casino. Debbie never met a strangerevery person she spoke to became a quick friend. She touched the lives of all she knew. If you ever had the chance to meet her, you knew the joy she brought to your life with a smile on her face and a willingness to help anyone who needed it. A Celebration of Life event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 1:00p at the VFW Post 51, 300 W. Mission, Spokane, WA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
