Nancy Lee Propst went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday June 11th 6:30a.m. while resting peacefully at Spokane Hospice House, she was 77 years old. A Spokane native born February 15th 1948 to Craig and Larae Whitford.

She attended Shadle Park High School. Soon after, she married Ted Propst and had two sons. Nancy volunteered at their school for many years where she was able to keep them on their best behavior. After divorce she entered the workforce as payroll administrator for Yokes Fresh Market from its beginning where she remained throughout its growth into a chain of stores and was often last to leave the office to ensure everyone got paid.
Nancy had a lifelong passion for horses having trained and ridden many horses over the years and could command obedience of an animal ten times her size. A rodeo fan, pleasure and endurance rider she even went on 100 mile multi day rides with some of her best friends.
Also a voracious reader, in her retirement Nancy worked in a second-hand bookstore and volunteered in Her church library. Reading about spirituality, the Christian walk and encouragement were some of her favorite and always had just the right book to share with her loved ones.
She will always be remembered for her faithfulness to the Lord, support and encouragement of her family and friends, her thoughtfulness to everyone she knew and the grace with which she approached every part of her life to the very end. She will be missed and is survived her loving sons Theodore Propst Jr., Darren (Shannon) Propst, grandson Chase Propst, great grandson Walker and little sister Julie Scarpelli.
Friends and family of Nancy are invited to celebrate her life with us at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 26th at South Hill Bible Church, 958 E. 29th in Spokane with a reception to follow. Offerings in Her name are welcome and may be made to SHBC with "UGM kids camp" in the memo.
