September 10, 1929 - April 18, 2016
KNUDSON, Myrna L (Age 86) - Myrna Laurine Knudson was born September 10, 1929 in Laramie, Wyoming to Frank and Dora Lalor, she passed away peacefully and naturally at Valley Hospital in Spokane on April 18, 2016, joining her two older brothers. Following Frank’s death in 1941, the family made their way to Spokane, where Myrna attended Our Lady of Lourdes elementary and graduated from Marycliff High School in 1947, where she made many life-long friends that enriched her life until the end. In 1951, Myrna married Bob Knudson and for the next many years found true happiness in being a full-time mother, wife and homemaker. In 1976, Myrna joined the Conley crew at the White Elephant, where she worked for the next 13 years until Bob’s retirement in 1989. When Bob retired, they took up the snowbird lifestyle, finding friends and great joy in R.V.-ing to Arizona and San Diego during Spokane’s cold winters. Myrna also enjoyed golfing (until she was 82!), baking, Elvis, gardening, visiting with friends and of course, Taco Tuesday at the Elks. Myrna was a proud member of the St. John Vianney Altar Society, the Elks and Lady Nine Holers. She was a kind, caring, open-minded and forgiving woman, with enviable sweetness and class. Myrna is survived by her husband of 64 years Bob Knudson; her children Bonnie, Bob Jr., Bill (Debi) and John; her grandchildren Amanda, Anna (Johnnie), Abbey (Brennon), Kaitlin (Jeff), Dane (Sierra), Crystal and Jaycie; her great-grandchildren Mazie, Emerson, Liam, Link and Ivy, along with many nieces, nephews, close friends and her former daughter-in-law Shelly with whom she had a special relationship. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Dora, and two older brothers Jack and Bill. We would be honored to have you join us to celebrate the wonderful life of Myrna Knudson on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at St. John Vianney Church at 11 am, 503 N. Walnut, Spokane. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Catholic Charities.
