My beloved wife and best friend, Monica Lea Easley-Cate, passed away on 17 August 2026 at the age of 45, surrounded by her loving family. Monica was born on 14 October 1980 at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her husband, Joshua; her children, Ian, Maggie, and Cora; and her grandson, Hudson.

Monica is remembered as a devout Christian, faithful wife, loving mother, and devoted grandmother. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She found joy in life's simple moments and could often be found curled up under a blanket with a cup of tea, reading her favorite scriptures, or sitting on the floor with her grandson, Hudson, playing with toys and reading books together.

Monica cherished every opportunity to spend time with her family. Her favorite pastimes included camping, hiking, baking, knitting, reading, and taking road trips with those she loved. More than anything, she treasured the time spent with family and friends, creating memories that will be carried forward by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on 12 September 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at The Vine Community Church in Deer Park, Washington. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Monica's life.

The family wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to Christ Community Church of Elk and Liberty Baptist Church of Spokane for their love, prayers, and support.
