September 07, 1967 - November 29, 2017

Michelle C. Thompson (Finch) (Age 50), on November 29, after a 5-year valiant fight with breast cancer, Michelle left this earth, and is now at peace, and pain free. She was surrounded by family and loved ones at the Hospice House of Spokane. Michelle loved life, and her positive energy was felt by all that knew her. Her smile and infectious laugh always lit up a room. Once you met Michelle you would never forget her warm personality, and knew you had met a beautiful soul. Michelle attended North Central High School. After high school, she lived in various different locations within the United States as well as overseas. She returned to Spokane, many years ago, the place she always called home. Michelle retired in 2017 where she had been an Optician for many years. She spent her time doing things she loved, such as planting flowers, going to her lake cabin, and spending time with her beloved Yorkies, Coby and Maddy. She loved to shop, and spend time with family and friends. One of her favorite activities was spending Sunday afternoons with family and friends rooting on the Seahawks. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandbaby, Vienna, the apple of her eye. Michelle will be missed by all, but her spirit will be kept alive through our memories of her. She is survived by her spouse, Davida Zinkgraf, her sons Tyler Thompson (Anna Zadorin) and Corey Thompson (Megan Chapman), her mother Diane Ballantz, father Leroy Finch, and brother, John Lantz. She is preceded in death by her brothers Daniel Finch, Brian Finch, and her step-mother, Marge Ballantz. Michelle did not want a formal funeral service, but wanted a celebration of life, that will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Hospice House of Spokane, or Cancer Care Northwest.
