Michael Tarris Dolan

August 06, 1949 - February 17, 2016

Dolan, passed away February 17, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born in Spokane, WA to Terry Dolan and Jette (Smith) Black on August 6, 1949. Michael attended High School in Billings, MT and graduated from EWU with a teaching degree. That summer he married the love of his life, Susan DeFelice. - Mike taught metal shop which he soon turned into a metal sculpture and jewelry making class. He combined his passions with his work which included owning the Brass Oak Furniture store, All Weather Siding and Windows, insurance and financial services, and his continued love of jewelry making. Michael and Susan enjoyed every moment of life together: mostly outdoors skiing, camping, and boating - anything they could do with their children, their extended family, and their many friends. Mike had a personality larger than life, and was loved by so many. He lived every day to its fullest. His motto was "If it's not fun, I won't be there." - He is survived by his wife Susan Dolan, son Brian Dolan, daughter Jenne Hatcher, son-in-law Paul Hatcher, grandchildren Devin and Sophia Dolan, Riley Hatcher and baby Michael Hatcher will arrive in June. - A celebration of life will be held at St. Mary's Catholic church in the Spokane Valley on February 27th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, we suggest donations to the Hospice of Spokane or Second Harvest in Spokane Valley. -
