Michael Edward Carver “Mike”

1954-2026

Was born May 29,1954 to Marvin Carver Sr. and Carmita (Curtis) Carver in Wallace Idaho. He went to meet Jesus on July 20, 2026, at the young age of 72. Mike led a very full and beautiful life starting when he graduated from Ferris high school in Spokane, Washington. He enlisted in the navy in 1971. He met the love of his life, his wife Charlene in 1976 in Everett, Washington. Where he was honorably discharged in 1978 due to an accident that broke his back in 1976.

After he was discharged, he found his calling working for Montgomery Ward until they closed down as an appliance, small engine, and electronics repair man. He then went to Fred’s appliance until he was medically retired.

In 1986 he moved his wife and two daughters to Chattaroy, Wa. His heart was in the country, and he wanted his family to enjoy it as much as he did. Mike loved the outdoors and loved nature, hunting, camping, fishing, and wood cutting. He loved the water and spent many summers camping on the river and in the woods. He was all about family, and “adopting” people into his life as family. He is passing on his legacy of a love for the outdoors, knowledge, and work as he made everything fun. He loved to teach anyone who wanted to learn and took pride in passing on his knowledge. He was always doing something. Mike was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer many years back. Though the big C was a scary diagnosis he was a fighter, he stayed positive and was always looking to the future. He had a heart that had no end. He loved unconditionally and taught that well. He was proud of every little accomplishment and the big ones too. He was baptized and devoted his life to Jesus about 3 years ago. He taught all of us so much. From the love of family, blood or not, forgiveness, and patience. He took great joy in teaching, loving and showing all of us to appreciate the beauty in life. He Loved to help people in any way possible. He had a heart of gold, sparking hazel eyes, award winning smile, great sense of humor. He loved to laugh and play cribbage. He was quite a jokester. There wasn’t a day that went by that he didn’t tell you or show you how much he loves you. From phone calls or hugs every time you walk by, or I love you out of the blue. He was a loving, soft, and forgiving man and full of life and love to the end. Michael Edward Carver, an avid outdoorsman, marksman, provider, teacher, Husband, Dad, Grandpa, great grandpa, Uncle, Brother, Son., Friend, and HERO. Rest in peace Dad. We love you very much. Not a day goes by that doesn’t remind all of us who you are, and the love you have given us. He left behind Charlene…his wife of almost 50 years, two daughters Jennifer Carver, Michelle (Joshua) Reeves, a sister Deborah (Richard) Dillow, a brother Daniel Carver, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his dad Marvin Carver sr., mom Carmita (Curtis) Carver, sisters Virginia (Ginger) Seipp, Carmita Schwab, and Mitzi Burroughs, brother Marvin Carver jr. (Sonny), nephews, and nieces.

Mike's celebration of life will be August 22, 2026, at Chattaroy Community Church at 2 pm. A reception will follow of pie and coffee. In memory of the shooting competitions. For those that

can, please bring your favorite pie or dessert to share, as well as pictures, and a story to tell.
