Michael B Imholt

April 17, 1944 - May 02, 2022

Mike passed away on May 2, 2022, at the Spokane Veterans Home. He was born in Everett, WA to George B. and Helen M. (Santrucek) Imholt on April 17, 1944. He was the 3rd of 5 children. His mother insisted they move so Spokane to find the sunshine, and so they did, when Mike was an infant. Mike attended St. Patrick’s Elementary School and graduated from Rogers High School. After that, he enlisted in the Navy for 14 years where he worked as an electrician during the Vietnam War. Returning to civilian life, he enjoyed Corvettes and long-distance biking. Mike was active in St. Aloysius Parish in Spokane until he entered the Spokane Veterans Home. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ronald, James, and David, and his sister Kathryn. He is survived by his niece Sue, nephews Scott, Kevin, Beau, and Brett Imholt, and sister-in-law Kathleen Imholt. We would like to thank his wonderful caregivers at Spokane Veterans Home for the excellent care they gave him over the past 8 years. He loved them. Please consider making a donation in Mike’s name to the Spokane Veterans Home Benevolent Fund, 222 E. 5th Ave. Spokane, WA 99202. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 16th with 11:00 Mass at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 3624 W. Indian Trial Rd, followed by inurnment at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake at 1:00 PM.
