Mary Elizabeth Thompson

July 03, 1942 - November 27, 2022

MaryBeth Thompson, age 80, passed away November 27, 2022, at Sacred Heart Hospital. MaryBeth was born July 3,1942 in Crystal Falls, MI to Tom and Virginia Corbett. She joined her older sister Kathleen. She attended school in Crystal Falls and graduated from Crystal Falls High School in 1960. She studied nursing at St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Hancock, MI, graduating as a RN in 1966. Her first job was in her hometown of Crystal Falls. In 1967 she traveled to Butte, MT to work as a labor and delivery nurse at Silver Bow Community Hospital. She found her heart and soul when she met and married Dennis Thompson in 1968. In the fall of 1968, they landed in Spokane for good. She worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital until her retirement in 2003. MaryBeth is survived by her husband Dennis, her sister Kathleen Lambert (Dennis) of Livingston MT, her sons Daniel (Kebra) of Gig Harbor WA, and William (Hayli) of Manson WA. She has four grandchildren: Avery Thompson of Ellensburg, WA, and Josephine, Spencer, and Marlie Thompson of Manson, WA plus many nieces and nephews. No services are scheduled for MaryBeth at this time. A memorial service will be held at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake at a later date. A gathering for family and friends will be held following the interment.
