Marlene Adele Rasmussen, age 79, of Deer Park, passed away peacefully into the presence of Jesus on August 28th, 2026. Born on September 20th, 1946, to Howard and Adele Christeson.

She grew up in Springdale, WA where she came to love music and dance, which led her to meet the love of her life, Elwyn. They shared 61 years of a Christ centered marriage, raising two children, Joby and Tammy. They worked together most of their married life, building log homes, and traveling. Their main mission was leading people to The Lord.

Marlene lived life full of contagious joy, with a loving, welcoming heart. Her home always had an open door to all. Anyone who arrived was sure to feel the love of Jesus.

She is survived by her loving husband Elwyn, her children Joby (Jodi) Rasmussen and Tammy (Paul) Duenich, her grandchildren Ben Rasmussen, Chantel (Andrew) Hoogstad, Jessica (Tom) Harvey, Jake (Katie) Duenich, Nick Rasmussen and Moriah (Zach) Eagle. She was also blessed to welcome 7 great grandchildren.

Marlene is now reunited in Heaven with her grandson, Dakotah, her parents and other loved ones.

A celebration of her life and faith will be held at Thompson’s Family Haven Farm & Event Center, 205 W. Chattaroy Rd., Colbert, WA on Saturday September 19th at 11am.

“Well done good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” -Matthew 25:23
