Marjorie Viola Eygabroad

March 09, 1944 - May 08, 2013

Born March 9, 1944 in Spearfish, South Dakota, Marj passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, May 8, 2013, at Hospice House in Spokane. She was diagnosed with a rare cancer, hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma , on April 25, 2013. She moved to Spokane in 1951, and graduated from Central Valley High School in 1962. On March 20, 1965 she married Buster Eygabroad. He preceded her in death October 4, 1988. Marj worked as a dietary aide in nursing homes and hospitals most of her life. She loved flower gardening, bunko, wine tasting, reading and traveling. She acquired the nick name of Pooch from her mother and was later known as â??Aunt Poochieâ? by her nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Marj is survived by her daughters, Julie (Randy) Stallard, Jill (Terry) Reed; three granddaughters, Brianne, Paityn, and Lyndsey Stallard; brothers, Ed (Loretta) Orr, and Marvin (Carol) Wager; and sister, Mary (Clancy) Howard. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Wager; brothers, Harry and Chuck Wager; sister, Dorothy Klumb; and her companion, George Petrina. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, May 12, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at Advent Lutheran Church, 13009 E. Broadway, Spokane Valley, WA. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House, 367 E. 7th Ave., Spokane, WA 99202.
