Marion La Bute

May 13, 1935 - May 11, 2017

Marian Louise (nee Barber) La Bute-Stone passed away peacefully at Spokane Hospice as a result of complications following a fall at home and other existing medical factors. Born on May 13, 1935 in Coeur dAlene, Idaho, Marian was 81 years old, just two days shy of her 82nd birthday. Marian was a reserved but happy person who loved her books, classic movies and current magazines. She had a career as a PBX operator, first at Password, Spokane Valley, then at Valley Hospital until her retirement. - Marian is survived by her present husband Alan Stone, sons Richard Neil La Bute Jr., Neil Norman La Bute, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews She is preceded in death by her first husband Richard La Bute, father Harold Barber, mother Vera (nee Ives) Barber, brothers Vernon, Don, sister Rosie, aunts and uncles. - A memorial of remembrance shall take place on Sunday 11 June at 1 p.m. at the Pines Mausoleum Chapel, 12116th E 16th Ave Spokane Valley, WA 99206. All friends of Marian are welcome. - In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests donations be made in Marians name to; Wings of Mercy MN, PO Box 1921, Maple Grove, MN 55311. Wings of Mercy is an all-volunteer air ambulance organization serving the Upper Midwest. Wings of Mercy is a recognized, non-profit corporation organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
