Marilyn Jean Durrant

February 07, 1946 - May 27, 2014

Marilyn passed away May 27, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Exeter, CA on February 7, 1946. After living in California and Montana, she moved to Spokane where she met her beloved husband, Tom. Marilyn was known for her hospitality and love of card games. Marilyn and Tom loved fishing, camping and gardening. Marilyn was preceded in death by parents, G.E. Doty and Frances Bright; brother, David Leap; and Fay Doty. She is survived by husband, Tom; daughter, Lisa Oâ??Connor; son, Michael Oâ??Connor; sisters, Myrna Gervasoni and Linda Johnson; three grandchildren, Travis and Teryn Wheekly, and Allie Oâ??Connor; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and a multitude of friends. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 2:00 PM, at the Spokane Valley Eagles Lodge, with a potluck to follow. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Hospice of Spokane.
