Lorie Schmidt

September 07, 1959 - October 15, 2018

Lorie S. (Howard) Schmidt, born on September 7, 1959 in Spokane, Washington, to Harry George and Betty Howard, passed away due to a stroke at age 59 on October 15, 2018. Lorie graduated from West Valley High School in 1977 and Mr. Jays Beauty School in 1987. She was a hairstylist and colorist at Rumors Hair Salon, as well as an educator for Paul Mitchell. Lorie’s free spirit, contagious laugh, and beautiful, giving heart are going to be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her parents, Betty and George Howard; husband, Ron Schmidt; son, Jason Windham; daughter, Jessica Windham Emmett; brothers, Craig Howard and Scott Howard; grandchildren, Ryle and Damon (Jessica), Bella, Justin, and Peter (Jason); niece, Stacy and nephews, Tyler, Ben, and Austyn. Friends and family are welcome to attend Lorie’s Celebration of Life service on Saturday, November 10th at 5:00pm at Spokane Valley Event Center, located at 10514 E. Sprague Ave, Spokane Valley.
