December 30, 1955 - February 18, 2014

Lonnie Dee LEFORS (12/30/1955 - 02/18/2014) LEFORS, Lonnie Dee (Age 58) Lonnie was born in Spokane, WA on December 30, 1955 to Sherman and Joyce LeFors. He grew up in Spokane and graduated from North Central H.S. Lonnie met his best friend in 1976 when they joined the Army together. After serving his country, Lonnie returned to Spokane and held many positions in a variety of fields. Lonnie moved to Ellensburg, in 1994, where he developed many lasting friendships. He loved simple things in life; fishing, spending time in the woods, watching old TV shows and movies, but a favorite was listening to Fibber McGee and Molly. Lonnie was a proud backyard mechanic. He loved tinkering with cars and riding his motorcycle. He was a master at crossword puzzles and trivia games. He was an excellent cook and his vast life experience contributed to his love of cooking. Lonnie returned to Spokane in May 2013 to be near his best friend and family. Though his health declined, Lonnie's faith grew and he dreamed of the day when he would have a perfect health in a heavenly body and would no longer struggle to breathe. Lonnie passed away peacefully on February 18, 2014 with his family at his side. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Terri LeFors, their family, best friend Mike Gilman and nephew and niece, Dylan and Danielle LeFors. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dennis LeFors, and half brother, Gene LeFors. The family wishes to thank Malissa and the staff at Holy Family Hospital. Your kind, compassionate care helped us all through this incredibly difficult process.
