Our beloved angel, Lisa Ann Gauthun, succumbed to a long courageous battle with Cancer on Saturday, September 21, 2013. Lisa was 45 years old, born in Federal Way, WA on November 14, 1967. She died peacefully at her home in Colbert, WA with her loving partner by her side. She graduated from Federal Way High School in 1986 and went on to study Pharmacy at WSU, where she met her future husband, Jay Mehring. Together they gave birth to two sons, Matt and Jared. She started practicing as a Pharmacist in Clarkston WA. Then moved to Jones Pharmacy in Deer Park, WA., Shopko and finished her career at Target of Spokane. Lisa moved to her current home in Colbert WA in 1995 where she raised her two boys. Lisaâ??s first battle with Breast Cancer started 13 years ago and from that moment she devoted herself tirelessly to conquering this ravaging disease. She formed her own non-profit, Survivor Chick, which she used to help fund many cancer organizations. Along the way she gave countless hours supporting and comforting other women struggling with Breast Cancer in a way that only Lisa could. Her genuine love and compassion for people endeared herself to so many who call her friend. Lisaâ??s caring nature touched more people than even she could imagine. She was preceded in death by her mother Susan Diane Powers, her father Gayle Harris Gauthun, her brother Guy Harris Gauthun, and her beloved uncle Steve Powers. Her love and wonderful spirit continued through the countless losses she sustained. In support of her brother Guy, Lisa opened her home to his son Brandon. She is survived by her 2 loving sons Matthew and Jared Mehring, their father Jay Mehring, her loving partner Rob Martin and his family, her sister Tanya Chamberlain, her brothers Randy and Chuck Winders, her cousin Carla Mottola, many nieces, nephews and friends whose lives she touched deeply. Lisa will be missed enormously by all that knew her. Memorial Service will be held at 2PM on Saturday September 28, 2013 at Real Life Ministries, 10101 N. Nevada ST. Spokane, WA 99218. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Christ Clinic of Spokane, Camp Spalding or Young Survivors Coalition.
