Linda A Moore

December 24, 1956 - August 02, 2016

Was ushered by an angel, on August 2, 2016 to be reunited with her beloved mother Carolyn Humphries, father James Humphries SR., and sister Connie Kunze. Born at Fairchild A.F.B. to a family serving in the military, her youth was an amazing adventure. Her travels ranging from Texas, Louisiana, Hawaii, to as far as France. Finally settling in Spokane, to graduate from Rogers High School in 1974. She pursued and achieved a higher education, receiving the recognition of LPN in nursing all in an effort to support the dreams of her best friend Claire Swanson. While attending college, she worked part time at Kmart where Linda developed many cherished relationships with her coworkers. These cherished relationships would lead her to decide to make a full time career of her employment at Kmart. Staying a very devoted employee and coworker, she retired from Kmart after 30 years. A daughter, sister, best friend, mother, grandmother and beloved Aunt; she cherished the company of her family and friends. As the oldest of eight siblings she was a protector, a mentor, and a guiding light. Keeping a heart full of joy, she found happiness in the simple side of life while keeping her arms open to anyone seeking shelter. Linda loved the smell of lilacs, spoiling her animals, seasons of garage sales, and summers spent on the lake front. She was an avid argument winner; lending her strength to fight battles that were not hers to fight, her voice will forever ring in our hearts. Deserving of reward for every breath she shared with us, Linda was a hero. A single full-time working mother; she devoted her life to the unconditional love and care of her son and only grandson, always placing the needs and happiness of theirs before her own. Linda will forever be remembered and missed by the many hearts and minds of those to whom she left behind. Linda is survived by her only child David Eugene Moore and beloved grandson David Anthony Moore; her baby, her dog Pudge; her sisters Donna Decker and Ginger Keeney; brothers James Humphries Jr. (Janis Humphries), Edward Humphries, Ray Humphries (Debbie Humphries); sister Nancy Gregory (Norman Gregory); numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Celebration of Linda's well lived life will be held on Saturday August 06, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way Spokane, Washington 99224.
