Leslie Les L. Parker passed away on September 21, 2017 in the North Idaho Acute Care Hospital in Post Falls. Suffering complications resulting from a rare blood disorder. Les was born October 8, 1947 to Luther and Clara Parker in Spokane, Washington. Les graduated from University High School, attended Eastern Washington University for a few years when he decided to enlist in the United States Coast Guard. Belonging to the Fraternal Order of Masons, Less career began at American Optical which quickly turned into prosperous years as an entrepreneur. After being self-employed in the construction industry, Les owned and operated Able Construction and the Sullivan Scoreboard Tavern. Les loved spending time at the familys summer cabin on Cottonwood Bay at Lake Coeur dAlene and taking winter trips to San Felipe in Baja Mexico. In his younger years, Les excelled in athletics. Having received the Golden Gloves award in boxing, Les coached his sons and many other valley youth throughout the years for Spokane Valley Baseball. Les is survived by his son Chris (April), his former wife and friend Barb Parker; his brother Floyd (Megan); his father-in-law, Harry Gibbons; 3 grandchildren, Shyanne, Devyn, and Tanner; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Clara, his son Todd, his brother Roy, his sister Jean. A Memorial Service celebrating Less life will be held Saturday, September 30th, 11:00 a.m. at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 South Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, Washington.
