Layne M McGowan

September 28, 1953 - May 19, 2018

Layne (Age 64) was born September 28th, 1953 and passed away May 19th, 2018. Layne spent the last 16 months fighting pancreatic cancer; we will miss him terribly but are thankful he is no longer in pain. Layne was born in Spokane, WA to Robert & Bonnie McGowan. Layne grew up with his 4 brothers (Mark, Kim, Scott and Dan), loving the outdoors, fishing and being with family & friends. Layne found his soul mate and married Patti Henry on August 27th, 1976. The two had many adventures through the years. Layne was a successful business man and has left a legacy for his family to carry on. Many years were spent fishing, traveling and filled with laughter. He is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie, brothers Mark and Kim. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patti, his son Jeff (Emily) and daughter Jill and his 2 grandchildren he adored Bryce and Kendal. He also leaves his dad, Bob and brothers Scott and Dan. There will be a grave side service at Fairmount Memorial Park on Saturday, June 3rd at 10:30 AM with a celebration of life to follow at Northern Quest Casino.
