Larry L Fulton

June 09, 1941 - June 15, 2017

LARRY LEE FULTON - September 9, 1941 June 15, 2017 - Larry Lee Fulton was born in Inglewood, California, to Archie & Mary Fulton. His father was killed in the line of duty in 1945 serving his country in the Philippines. A life-changing adventure for Larry was when his step-father and mother, along with his little sister, joined up with a second carload of relatives and made the long, long road trip from California to Alaska. Unexpectedly, a decision was made to make Anchorage their new and permanent home and where his youngest sister was born. After high school, Larry served in the U.S. Army as a photojournalist in Costa Rica. There he developed a love for the Spanish language. In Bethel, Alaska, he worked as editor and publisher of a newspaper, The Kuskokwim Kronicle, gathering stories of bush life to share wherever he went. Larry also attended the University of Alaska, Fairbanks and graduated from Bible School at Abbott Loop Christian Center in Anchorage. He worked in communications at Alascom for many years. He met and married his wife, Sandi, in Anchorage and later they moved to Wasilla and finally, to Spokane Valley where he worked for Dishman Dodge and for Chapman Finance. Larry is survived by his wife, three sons: Joel, Jason and Justin, and daughter, Jana, along with their families. He is also survived by his sister, Flo and her family and his sister, Donna (John) and their family as well as beloved cousins. The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the kind and supportive workforce at Chapman Finance, and to the loving staff at Sullivan Park, the physicians and staff at Spokane Cardiology as well as Jeanine Fickert, ANP at the Spokane VA Medical Center and a host of others for the caring treatment provided. Your efforts did not go unnoticed. And, many thanks to our precious church family members who are standing with us in this time of grief. A memorial service is planned for 1 pm on Sunday, July 16th at Spokane Baptist Church, 4506 North Harvard Rd, Otis Orchards.
