Karla Hellen Taylor, 47, was born on October 3, 1978, in Crosby, North Dakota. At a young age, she moved to Stevens County, Washington where she eventually settled in the Chewelah area. It was there, at just 15 years old, that she met the love of her life, Julian Taylor. By the age of 16, she had become part of the Taylor family, and together she and Julian built a life filled with love, laughter, and family over the next 30 years.

Karla's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an incredibly proud grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Julian Taylor; her three children: Sheldon and his wife, Nakia, and their son, Atticus; Isabel and her husband, Riley, and their daughters, Violet and Lily, with another baby girl expected soon; and Julian and his wife, Molly, and their son, Noah, with a baby boy expected in the coming months.

She is also survived by her four sisters, Tracy, Christal, Bobby, and Susan; her brother, Tim; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and love.

Karla was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Betty Torres, and her grandson, Linkin Taylor, whom she carried in her heart every day.

On the morning of July 28, 2026, Karla's life was tragically cut short in a car accident that also claimed the life of her beloved companion and best friend, Ginger ("GG"). While her passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, her memory will live on through the family she cherished so deeply and the countless lives she touched.

Karla will always be remembered for her loving heart, her strength, and the unconditional love she gave to those around her. Though we grieve her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace and look forward to the day we are reunited with her in heaven.

She was a beautiful woman inside and out. She had a beautiful smile.

Though I didn’t see her much, over the last few years, I have many memories of Holidays, spent with her and her Husband and fun children. They had the Christmas Eve, parties at their house for a few years, when all the kids were young.

♥️💔♥️
