Judy Carol Shultz was born on December 25, 1949, in Visalia, California, to Wesley and Reba Colvin. She passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family, friends, and community.

On October 16, 2004, Judy married the love of her life, Donald H. Shultz, lovingly known as "Lovie," at the Hitching Post in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Their marriage was filled with love, laughter, and companionship, and they shared many cherished years together.

Judy is survived by her husband, Donald H. Shultz; her children, Jamie Zachary (Scott), Joe Lovett, and Christina Young (Jeff); her grandchildren, Christopher Dodds, LaWanda Nicole "Nikki" Gustafson, Alex Daniel, Jeffrey Ray Young, and Carter William Young; and her great-grandchildren, Kelcie Ann Marie Dodds, Tucker John Allen Dodds, and Kalliope Renna Gustafson. She is also survived by her sisters, Jean Lynch (Kim) and Glenda Scholten (Glenn), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Reba Colvin; her brothers, Wayne Colvin and Mike Colvin; her sister, Sharon Perry; her granddaughter, Cheyanne Marie Lovett; and her beloved dachshund, Little Bit.

Family was the center of Judy's world. She cherished her children beyond measure, and her grandchildren brought her endless joy. She loved spoiling them, spending time with them, and rarely found it possible to tell them "No." Her great-grandchildren held an very special place in her heart.

Judy was a devoted wife, an incredible mother and grandmother, a loving sister and aunt, and a treasured friend to many. She had a gift for making people feel welcomed, cared for, and loved. Generous with her time and her big heart, she was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed her.

She loved collecting angels and carousel horses and was a fan of Elvis Presley. Judy enjoyed listening to and singing along with old country music. She also loved sunshine, warm weather, and finding happiness in life's simple pleasures.

As a member of VFW Post 3386 Auxiliary, Judy found great joy in volunteering for auxiliary dinners, youth activities, and programs supporting military families. No matter the event, if help was needed, Judy was there ready to serve with kindness, compassion, and a smile.

Judy's warmth, generosity, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to experience her love and friendship.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Airway Heights Baptist Church. A luncheon and gathering will follow at the Horton-Strength-Gale VFW Post 3386.

In honor of Judy, guests are invited to wear purple, her favorite color.
